Get your morning routine all the way together!
How you start your day, sets your day and your mood. It's also a great opportunity for some much needed self-care.
As a mother of three, a chaotic grand rising was the norm and still is sometimes. The crying, the fighting, the 1,000 mommy's in less than a minute, the yelling, the TV, computer and smart phones all going at once, was the sound of music in my home. Talk about stress and overwhelm bright and early, not a great way to start the day.
Instead of jumping out of bed all rushed and confused, I like to ease into the day as often as possible; because lets face it, every morning will not turn out as planned. However, we can definitely make an effort to have more stress free and pleasant mornings.
I am going to share with you some tips on how to get your day off to a good start, incorporating some self-care. For not only a peace of mind, but to also set the tone for the entire day.
#1 GET TO BED AT A DECENT TIME
I can't stress enough how important it is to get a good nights rest. A full eight hours of sleep is very beneficial for your health, allows for proper body rejuvenation and will have you feeling fresh and energized in the morning.
a couple great ways to get a good night sleep is too;
#2 WAKE UP AND BREATHE
One thing I love to do is get up an hour or two before the kids and enjoy the quiet time with myself. I take the opportunity to do some deep breathing exercises, meditation and devotion. Doing these things helps to put me into a better state of mind, giving me clarity for the day.
#3 WRITE IT OUT & SAY IT LOUD
Do you journal? Journaling is a great way to write out your intentions for the day, your goals, desires, beliefs etc. When you write in a journal it gives you a better connection to those things, giving you more clarity as you put whats in your mind on paper. I like to read my journal aloud once I am done writing, as sort of an affirmation, putting my words out there in the world to be manifested.

#4 GET MOVING
Get up and dance, take a walk or hit the gym to get the blood flowing and energy up. Getting some morning exercise puts you in a better mood, relieves stress and body aches, lowers blood pressure and just makes you feel good and pumped for the day. So make it a habit and incorporate a good workout routine in your mornings.
