It's flattering when a client trusts my abilities to provide the look/style they want and decide to opt out of a trial. However, I do not endorse it, which is why I believe a consultation/trial is best for such an important and special occasion.
CONNECTING & BUILDING RAPPORT Aside from emailing and text messages, in most cases, this will be the first time you meet your artist in person before your big day! This is a chance to get to know one another better and see if you are the perfect fit to work together. PREP AND TEST Skin prep weeks in advance is essential if you want a stunning, radiant, flawless makeup look on your wedding day. I do a skincare assessment with my client and during our consultation/trial we discuss her skincare routine, some dos and don'ts, and any special treatments she might want to have done before her wedding, like my signature rejuvenating bridal facial. To help my client reach her skin objectives, I will also find out if she is working with an aesthetician and if not I will give recommendations. A consultation/trial is the perfect time to test products/formulations and see if you have any allergic reactions or sensitivities. We can go over colour schemes and you get to wear the finished look all day, to test its longevity and have some time to get a feel for the look/style. NO SURPRISES Even if you've saved or imagined the ideal haircut or makeup look for yourself, you won't know if you'll love it on yourself unless you give it a try. A trial can guarantee that your artist can capture your exact vision if you are particular about your appearance or style. On your wedding day, the last thing you want to discover is that the makeup style doesn't suit you, your hair doesn't curl properly, or your hair isn't the correct length or density for the look. Knowing exactly how you will appear on your wedding day will also make you feel a lot more at ease.
